Dad’s crispy duck salad - Served with pickled red onions, soy roasted sunflowers seeds, Thai basil and hoisin sauce

Vietnamese cha ca fish - marinated in turmeric and dill served with a herb salsa

Ling Ling Supperclub is travelling to Edinburgh to collaborate with Suede Gallery.

Ling Ling's supperclub is modelled on the humble street cafes in China where food is shared, talked about and enjoyed lesiurely. I serve both traditional and re-invented dishes that are created from recipes handed deon from my family or from recipes I have collected from my travels.

My supperclub is my interpretation of a chinese feast reminiscence of my family meals. Ling Ling's is about sharing home cooked dishes, sharing a table with friends and strangers and experiencing my curated view of chinese cooking.

Ling Ling's Supperclub is collaborating with Ben's House to bring you a Chinese New Year feast.

Chinese food is steeped in history and heritage and the enjoyment of it has a strong connection with both. Traditionally, dinner on Chinese New Year is spent at home, surrounded by family and close friends. An abundance of treasured dishes are served, both hot and cold, and often draw influence from or are direct recipes handed down through generations.

I will be transforming Ben’s House into a my very own Chinese household for one night and serving cherished dishes inherited from my family. 

The dinner will be served on communal tables with an emphasis on sharing food and learning more about Chinese new year traditions.
